Late April Snow - 2004
Ed's Internet Coffee House on the Hill is located in the beautiful Chestnut Ridge foothills
of the Laurel Mountains. The area is slightly higher than 2,300 feet above sea level so winter weather
sometimes comes earlier and leaves later than the lower elevations of the local towns and cities. The
spring of 2004 was one of those years.
After weeks of warm weather melting away the winter's snow and giving hope of summer's warm
weather is near, Mother Nature gave the area one last taste of cold snowy weather late in April. The
morning of April 27th started out warm, all day long the temperature slowly dropped and the drizzling rain
slowly turned to snow. By late afternoon, the area was white washed with a about an inch of snow.
